Friday's lunch record is "Ray Charles, Modern Sounds In Country And Western Music" (1962). I have heard it said and have seen it in print claiming this album to be the best of all time. This is argueably a landmark album.in American music but my jury isn't that quick to agree. Ray's work integrating two musical forms, soul and country into a new package of bigger than life sound was more than just pleasing it was a huge successful hit. This is a must have record that is always a joy to listen to. The YouTube sample song is "Worried Mind"
