John Hammond, Source Point (1971)

Wednesday's lunch record is "John Hammond, Source Point" (1971). This great rock blues album features many traditional blues that have become standards then and still today.Songs such as "Got Love If You Want It" (Muddy Waters), "Mellow Down Easy" & "Tell Me Mama"(Little Walter), along with many others. Charlie Otis plays drums and Billy Nichols on bass. This is a fine blues album, descriptive and boiling with raw feeling. The YouTube sample song is "My First Plea"  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oFCM7XTP_E. . . . . bucko
