Blue Cheer, Vincebus Eruptum (1968)

Wednesday's lunch record is "Blue Cheer, Vincebus Eruptum" (1968). This album is a landmark record the big start of heavy , heavy loud blues based rock. A tinge of psychedelic flavor is added in with a big burst of ferocity. This three piece power rock grroup made  the rock scene come alive with this their debut album.  There is only three songs per side, there version of "Eddie Cochrans" Summertime Blues along with "B.B. Kings" Rock me Baby plus four more. This album was recorded loud and should be played and enjoyed loud. The Youtube sample song is "Parchment Farm"  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tapfbMD4nyM . .bucko
