Jimmy McCracklin, Twist With Jimmy McCracklin (1962)  r. 1954-55
Tuesday's lunch record is by Jimmy McCracklin. This album was released on Crown records and is a classic exploitation release attempting to cash in on the current twist craze. The music is reissued blues tracks from 1954 &1955 from the Modern record label. Great blues album although the misleading twist labeling, the songs were given new titles and repackaged  as they attempted to fool the record buyer thinking they can twist to it. Big Surprise! Crown records did this with many other old blues tracks and artists as well as this example.
