Kenny Burrell, Up The Street 'Round The Corner Down The Block (1974)
Thursday's lunch record is "Kenny Burrell, Up The Street 'Round The Corner Down The Block" (1974). Jazz at it's funky best. Kenny's pure imaginative guitar playing is nothing short of brilliance. This album recorded for the Fantasy label has these musicians contributing on the six tracks. Jerome Richardson (flute), Richard Wyands (piano), Andy Simpkins (bass), Lenny McBrown (drums), Mayuto Correa (percussion). This album has a even steady relaxing feel to it, quite plesant listen. The YouTube sample song is "Juice" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HD-zdKQOrS4 . . . . bucko
