John Hammond, The Best Of (1970)

Monday's lunch record is "John Hammond, The Best Of" (1970). This is a double album recorded on Vanguard records. Todays listen is sides one and two. These tracks were recorded in the mid 1960's. Many are folk blues with a few eelectric blues. An accomplished blues writer and singer. He performs many standards likw "My Babe", "Still A Fool", "Backdoor Man", "Storrmy Monday", "Baby Please Don't Go". Jimmy Lewis on bass, Charlie Musselwhite on hamonica.
