Ron Carter, Blues Farm (1973)
Wednesdays lunch record is "Ron Carter, Blues Farm" (1973). This is a classy jazz progressive album with strong hints of staying true to the main stream idiom. Ron plays the standard double Bass, strong drumming by Billy Cobham, Hubert Laws steps in on flute, Gene Berttoncini or Sam Brown on electric guitar and Richard Tee on electric piano or organ. The YouTube sample song from this album is "A Hymn For Him" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG-YLta2lXU . . . . . . . bucko
