Larry Coryell, Spaces (1971)

Tuesday's lunch record is "Larry Coryell, Spaces" (1971). This early jazz fusion album is a fine example of this new musical expression. The musicians on this album all went on to form other fusion ensembles. John Mclaughlin (guitar), Billi Cobham (drums), Chick Corea (piano), Miroslav Vitous (bass). Even with the pioneering into the rock bop fusion there is stoll stong ties to the main stream jazz line.Yhe YouTube sample from this album is "Wrong Is Right" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuadBNmIiPk . . . . . bucko
