Fleetwood Mac, Bare Trees (1972)
Thursday's lunch record is "Fleetwood Mac, Bare Trees" (1972). The new gitar player Danny Kirwan helped change the sound of this group into a more pop commercial sound from their blues based origins. Their appeal to a larger fan base had some questioning their direction. Well written and performed numbers on this disc. I recall many of these songs like "Sentimental Lady" recieved nuch artime back in the early seventies. The YouTube sample song is "Child Of Mine" a nice rocker with a blues base. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B0BYJSslG0 . . . . . bucko
