Du-Droppers, Can't Do Sixty Anymore (1978) r. 1952-1955

Thursday's lunch record is "The Du-Drroppers, Can't Do Sixty Anymore" (1978) r.1952-55. This great reissue album is a walk back into the mid-fifties vocal group harmonies. Jumpin' hot rockin' r&b that is of exugerant quality. The vocal-group was by far the cornerstone of this new fledliing craze called rock and roll. Pristine vocals accompianed by the best musicians in the buisness. Sam "The Man" Taylor  blows the sax on numerous of these tracks including  The YouTube sample song   "Honey Bunch" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPri_0QVnRM . . . . bucko
