Friday's lunch record is a collection of vocal R&B groups. The Magnificents and the Rhythm Aces from Chicago. These Doo-Wop rockers each established huge local audiences of followers and record buyers but remained unknown in the national eye. These tracks were recorded for the Vee-Jay label in Chicago. This reissue album is on the Solid Smoke label of Rhino records. Tracks include "Why Did She Go", "Yes, She's My Baby", "Get Lost", "Be Mine" and others.
