Monday's lunch record is by King Curtis. This album released on ATCO records in 1972 was his last studio recording. Master tenor sax man reaches out on these eleven instrumentals in a heavy funk soul format covering many popular songs. His band consists of Jerry Jermott (bass), Bernard Pudie (drums), Richard Tee (piano), Billy Preston (organ) and others. Songs are ; "Groove" Me (King Floyd),"Honkey Tonk" (Bill Doggett", "Wet Funk" "Alexander's Ragtime Band" (Irving Berlin) along with others.
