Wednesday's lunch record is the 1966 Verve record of the Oscar Peterson Trio. Oscar is the pre-eminent jazz pianist of the 1950's & 60's, his trio had Ray Brown (bass) and Ed Thigpen (drums) who were premier instrumentalists. A few of the tracks have Buddy Rich (drums) and Herb Ellis joins in on (guitar). They play many swinging jazz -blues variations.
