Joe Turner, "Life Ain't Easy" (1984) |
Friday's lunch record is by Joe Turner. This album was issued on Pablo records. It was recorded in 1974 at MGM studios. It is a rather loose assembly of great musicians backing Joes bellowing strong blues singing. A presence of a studio jam session exists. Musicians are; Roy Eldridge (trumpet), Al Gray (trombone), Lee Allen (sax), Ray Brown (bass), Jimmy Robins (piano, organ), Thomas Gradson (guitar) and Earl Palmer (drums). The YouTube sample song is "Life Ain't Easy" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWpkqem9IEA . .bucko
