This is a live recording of Count Basie's big band playing at the Medowbrow, Cedar Grove , New Jersey on Nov. 3, 1937.This is a twelve piece band featuring Lester Young on sax, Buck Clayton- trumpet, Walter Page- bass, Claude Williams- guitar, Jo Jones- drums, Jimmy Rushing- vocals. Some songs are "One O'Clock Jump, "Moten Swing", "Lady Be Good" along with others. Big band swing is the rule on the jazz scene.
