Arnett Cob And His Mob - DinahWashington (1977) r. 1952

Monday's lunch record is "Arnett Cob And His Mob - DinahWashington In Concert" (1977) r.1952. This is a live recording of one of the pioneers on the jazz saxophone. Arnett spent many years ib the Milt Larkin orchestra where he played alongside Illinois Jacquet. This is a nice intimate setting for an evening of jazz. Dinah joins his ensemble for four of the tracks.  Cootie Williams sits in on trumpet for "I Got It Bad (and that ain't good)". The YouTube sample song is "Jumpin' The Blues" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSLOMWcRc4k . . . ..this is from a different record , , , , bucko
