Friday's lunch record is "Willie Egans, Rock n Roll Fever" (1982) r. 1955-58. This wonderful collection of songs from an artist very little known tto many. He has the west coast mid fifties sound coming from the Watts section of Los Angeles. His piano playing style is from the Fats Domino variety. The typical orchestra arrangement for R&B, two honkin' saxophones, guitar, bass and drums. This is a fun rockin' album to groove to. Fleetwood Mac, Bare Trees (1972)

Thursday's lunch record is "Fleetwood Mac, Bare Trees" (1972). The new gitar player Danny Kirwan helped change the sound of this group into a  more pop commercial sound from their blues based origins. Their appeal to a larger fan base had some questioning their direction. Well written and performed numbers on this disc. I recall many of these songs like "Sentimental Lady" recieved nuch artime back in the early seventies. The YouTube sample song is "Child Of Mine" a nice rocker with a blues base.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B0BYJSslG0 . . . . . bucko

Cab Calloway - Hi De Hi De Ho - 1960

Monday's lunch record is "Cab Calloway - Hi De Hi De Ho"(1960). A superb collecttion of many of Cab's popular biggies. "Summertime", "Minnie The Moocher", "St James Infirmary", "Stormy Weather" and more. His vocal escapades and dancing while leading his big band is giaranteed a good time. The YouTube sample is "The Jumpin' Jive" from his appearance Sesame Street. Even after 50 years of singing this song he still made it swing to a young new age group. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAMCCvvFd2E . . . . .bucko
