Wednesday's lunch record is "Willie Mabon, Is Back Funky" (1972). Wonderful blues album revisiting the flashy piano blues Willie Mabon created back in the fifties. He plays many of his huge hits, "Poison Ivy", "I Don't Know" along with ten other songs he wrote and recorded. His Chicago Blues band includes, Bill Warren (drums, Jimmy Richards (bass), Malcom Simmons (harmonica), Mighty Joe Youn (guitar) and Eugene Pearson (guitar).
