Friday's lunch record is songs from the soundtrack from the TV show Peter Gunn. This album was released in 1959 on the Crown record label Hollywood, CA. The TV show aired for three seasons 1958-1961 starring Craig Stevens (Peter Gunn) and his girlfriend Edie played by Lola Albright. Peter was the slick cool gumshoe that solved crimes and hung out at Mothers a cool jazz club down by the wharf. Edie was the sultry jazz singer at Mothers. The music was written by composer Henry Mancini and performed by him (piano) and a groovin' orchestra. Phil Moore  plays a Melodica which is similar to a harmonica with reeds that you blow in but a keyboard has been included. The musicians are Wilton Felder (bass), Steve Kahn (guitar), Clarence McDonald (piano), Andre Fischer (drums) & a vocal group.
