Phil Moore Jr., Right On (1969)

Phil Moore Jr., Right On  (1969)

Thursday's lunch record is by the multi talented Phil Moore Jr. This album recorded on the Atlantic record label is a late sixties rock-jazz experimental adventure. Phil Moore  plays a Melodica which is similar to a harmonica with reeds that you blow in but a keyboard has been included. The musicians are Wilton Felder (bass), Steve Kahn (guitar), Clarence McDonald (piano), Andre Fischer (drums) & a vocal group. Songs include "Nappy Head Child", "Right On", "You Showed Me", "I Get The Sweetest Feeling", "Hog Call", "Now Thing", "Workin' On A Groovy Thing", "Hold Me Now", "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", and the YouTube sample song "Funky Canyon". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgaG3gCfp0E . . bucko
