The Clovers, Their Greatist Hits (1971) r.1951-1955

Thursday's lunch record is "The Clovers, Their Greatist Hits" (1971) r.1951-1955. This is a super collection of the Clovers early rock - R&B hits. A strong jump vocal group, their are some that feel they were the first ones to have a rock & roll record with their 1951 record "Don't You Know I Love You". My jury is still out on that opinion. This collecttion of 14 songs is one of the best junp blues rock vocal group albums. Songs include "Little Mama", "Devil Or Angel", "Blue Velvet", "Lovey Dovey", "Ting -A-Ling", "Hey Miss Fanny", "Fool Fool, Fool", "One Mint Julep", Love Potion Number Nine", Down In The Alley", "Love, Love, Love" and todays YouTube sample song "Your Cash Ain't Nothing But Trash" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XL6PgxKPCM8 . . . . bucko
