Thursday's lunch record is by the renowned blues singer Joe Turner. The Kansas City blues shouter has been a force in the blues since the early 1930's. This album was his first for the abc BluesWay label recorded in 1967. It features the more modern blues rock style. Musicians are : Buddy Lucas (tenor sax & harmonica). Patti Brown (piano), Wally Richardson (guitar). Thornel Shwartz (guitar), Bob Bushnell (fender bass), Panama Francis or Herbie Lovelle (drums). Joe covers a few od his classics like "Cherry Red", Roll 'Em Pete",  Piney Browwn Blues", along with others.
