Duke Pearson, The Right Touch (1967)

Duke Pearson, The Right Touch (1967)
Friday's lunch record is by pianist- composer Duke Pearson. This album from the mid 60'sis on the Blue Note label. It grooves along to bop lines, smooth jazz gearing up to mainstream driving jazz arrangements. A touch of bosa-nova is apparent on some tracks. Freddie Hubbard (trumpet, Garnett Brown (trombone), James Spaulding (alto sax), Stanley Turentine (tenor sax)/ Gene Taylor (bass) and Grady Tate (drums). The YouTube sample song is "Scrap Iron" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l-C1TeyeYA . . bucko
