Buddy Rich Big Band, Buddy & Soul (1969)

Buddy Rich Big Band, Buddy & Soul (1969)
Thursday's lunch record is the Buddy Rich Big Band. This is a live recording of the orchestra performing a landmark show at the Whiskey A- Go-Go which has been a rock & roll show place. They played some traditional swingin' songs along with their renditions of the Doors 'Soul Kitchen" and "Hello I Love You" a cover of Bobby Troups "The Meaning Of The Blues". The YouTube sample song is "Ruth" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAzh_ykFgVU . . bucko
