Thursday's lunch record is an early 50's R&B vocal group album by The Hawks. This New Orleans group is presented by trumpeter band leader Dave Bartholomew. This 1985 reissue album is on the French Pathe Marconi label. The original recordings are from Imperial records 1953 & 54. The Hawks personnel is 'Fat Man Mathews', John Morris, Joseph Gaines, Willie Thrower. Musicians are Toots Washington (piano), Irving 'Buddy Charles (guitar). Lee Allen, Herb Hardesty (sax), Frank Fields (bass), Earl Palmer (drums).
