The original recordings were on Imperial records of New Orleans by  Dave Bartholomew and with his orchestra between 1950-1956. Personnel are;  Smiley Lewis (vocal, guitar), Dave Bartholomew (trumpet), Waldron 'Frog' Joseph (trombone), Lee Allen, Clarence Hall, Herb Hardesty, Joe Harris, Meyer Kennedy  (saxs), Salvador Doucette (piano), Frank Fields (bass), Earl Palmer (drums).Songs include "Growing Old", "Gumbo Blues", "Playgirl", "Bee's Boogie" and eight others.
