The Butterfield Blues Band, Live (1970)
Friday's lunch record is the killer blues of the Butterfield Blues Band. This is a double gate fold album. Today's listens are sides 1 & 4. Paul Butterfield on blues harmonica, piano and the blues singing. He honed his skills in Chicago a disciple of the Muddy Waters influence. This live album on Elektra Records captures the power of his eight piece blues band highlighting the dynamic draw he achieved. This music signifies the great music of the rock festival era. The YouTube sample song is "Everything Is Going To Be Alright" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GG-CKr0HaKs . . bucko
