Friday's lunch record is "Johnny Burnette The Rock 'n Roll Trio, Tear It Up" (1978) r. 1956. This album is a super compilation of the trio's early recordings made on Coral Records. The powerful rock-a-billy sound filled the airwaves back in the mid fifties. The influence of country-western and rythm & blues made for this exciting new music. Two guitars and uporight bass along witth drums tore up the dance halls and juke joints. The YouTube sample song is "Lonesome Train On A Track"
