Jack Dupree, Blues For Everybody (1976) r.1951-56
Thursday's lunch record is the wonderful raunchy, pounding piano of the blues master Champion Jack Dupree. These twelve tracks were recorded for King Records in the 1950's. This is a reissue album produced on Gusto records who had acquired rights to the King library. Jacks singing and distinctive piano style was at home in New Orleans, Cinncinnatti , Chicago or anywhere where the blues are played .
