Red Prysock, For Me And My Baby (1964)

Monday's lunch record is "Red Prysock, For Me And My Baby" (1964).  This album was the last one that Red Prysock recorded as a solo artist. He played on an album with his Brother Arthur  under his name inthe early 1980's. This is a little known recording with limited distribution. It is a quality jazz rock beauty that has that distintive "Red" driving swinging' beat. Most of the tunes get up and really cook, there are a few jazzy, soft sides, Red even sings on one of them.. Of course Red honks and screams that tenor of his to the delight of his listeners. The YouTube sample song is "Wildcat Part 1 & 2" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Hoi0YoDWUw . . . . bucko
