Wednesday's lunch record is "Earl Hooker, Sweet Black Angel" (1969). Straight up Chicago blues by the slide guitarist Earl Hooker. This album was recorded in Los Angeles for the Blue Thumb record label. This record was produced by his former band leader during the ffifties, Ike Turner. Earl was well known for his guitar skills and was respected by some of the best. Albert Collins, B.B. King and Jimi Gendrix.
