The Friends Of Distinction, Whatever" (1970)

Wednesday's lunch record is by The Friends of Distinction. This was their fourth album coming out in 1970 on RCA records. This funky soul vocal group began in 1968 and had several major hit records. "Grazing In The Grass" and "Going In Circles". A large ensemble of musicians contributed to the 10 tracks on this album, including Wilton Felder (bass), Plas Johnson (woodwinds), Joe Sample (keyboards). The YouTube sample song is "Great Day" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leuDTNYP4k0 . . bucko
